This Mini Documentary is about the infamous con man Victor Lustig. In the roaring 20s and beyond he was one of the most famous criminals on the planet. He did everything - from pick-pocketing over counterfeiting to selling Paris' Eiffel tower. This is his life story told with a bit of humor, Great Gatsby and Art Deco.
This episode was inspired by the Dollop Podcast. You should check it out on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts if you are interested in weird history topics like these. If you want to know more about Victor Lustig himself - there is a 1961 book by James Francis Johnson titled "The man who sold the Eiffel Tower".
I left out a couple of stories that were about his time in Alcatraz and him supposedly having a little feud with Al Capone because I couldn't really verify the sources. Nonetheless I think his life doesn't need much more spicing up to be worthy of telling :D
