The Future of Hospitality with The Nerdy Hotelier was created to showcase upcoming industry professionals in the hospitality industry. The series is aimed at allowing these new or young professionals to showcase themselves in a different light and use this tool to express and share their passion for the industry on social platforms.
Sabah Mehta is a final semester Bachelor’s student at Les Roches Global Hospitality Education, Switzerland and will graduate in August 2021.
As a near-graduate, she is on the lookout for the next big opportunity to kick start her career within or outside the hospitality industry! After 2 internships within hotels, she is excited to step out of hotel operations for the first time.
As she mentions in the interview, she is still discovering exactly where she fits in and is excited to learn and develop in new areas, therefore her interests are varied. Hospitality Tech companies, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Revenue and HR are just some of her focuses within the industry.
Additionally, hospitality provides a lot of transferable soft skills. If given the opportunity, she is more than open to developing herself within the same roles in a position outside of hospitality or her focus sectors, including knowledge search firms.
