Playthrough | Part 8: Flight of Fancy 1/3

Bentley's obsession with the Cooper Vault has him realizing one thing: they need a dedicated RC Specialist. One that can even surpass Bentley.

After weeks in tech chat rooms, Bentley found someone. A young mechanic named Penelope. Unfortunately she's not impressed but she has an offer for them. If Sly and the gang can defeat their boss in the ACES Competition, she'll join the group. The boss in question is The Black Baron, host of the ACES Competition. So Bentley and Murray work on getting a plane ready while Sly gets his pilot's license. Bentley tells Penelope that they'll do it and get it done. Thus begins Episode 3: Flight of Fancy.

We arrive in Kinderjilk, Holland to take part in the competition. The first mission has us meeting Dimitri and yes, he's willing to help. But under one condition. We got to do a favor for him. Whatever that is, we'll see later. Afterwards Sly heads off to the Black Baron's castle. Bentley reaches the hangar and with art decryption find the roster lineup. This means that in the Semi-finals, Sly has to take on Team Iceland & Team Belgium. 1 plane against 30. Not fun odds. That's when Bentley has a plan to make things easier.

First, Murray and Sly head to the sewers. Rowing under, Sly heads into the hotel room of Team Icleand. What for? To get their Viking Helmet. Then after leaving the sewers, Murray heads to Team Belgium's hangar and using his ball form, destroys the support anchors. He then plants the helmet onto the plane. Next the team work to get Team Iceland's ice sculpture. But this is a bit tough. Murray tries to crack joked with a Belgian and eventually he does. Bentley goes for the pull to get one of Team Belgium's monogrammed handkerchiefs. With that obtained, the Guru gets to work using guards to destroy the back to the truck. This lets Sly goes in, unlocks the safe and gets the sculpture. He then replaces it with the hanky.

As for the gang, they got to butt heads with Muggshot and his goons. It's basically hangar defense so you're going to have to work to deal with them. It's going to be tough but not impossible. Eventually Penelope comes in to aid the Cooper Gang since these guys are doing their part to repel Muggshot. Once Muggshot and his gang are dealt with, the semi-finals begin. No pressure so just take down the enemy planes and you're done.

Part 9 is where we have more work to do and that'll mean dealing with Muggshot.
