SCARY Whale Shark Encounter in the PHILIPPINES

Episode 44 | Bohol, Philippines

In this video, we had the opportunity to swim with whale sharks also called gentle giants. Whale sharks are the largest shark and the largest of any fish (they can weigh 19000 kg and can grow to 10 m long). Getting to swim with them was one of the most incredible experiences of our lives but it was also a bit scary and overwhelming to be honest!

After having a great experience swimming with the whale sharks, we head on to Napaling to swim with millions of sardines. This spectacular phenomenon called "Sardine Run" is a natural behavior used by sardines as a defense mechanism against predators. While the sardine run is the main attraction but alongside, alongside that, you have a beautiful reef with tons of incredible fishes, and other marine species, corals, ready to be explored.
