Research undertaken by the Pulitzer Center has shown that climate change and its intersection with labor conditions is an underreported issue that demands more attention. Drawing on insights from Pulitzer Center-supported stories, this dialogue brought university students from Indonesia (Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta), Brazil (Rede Emancipa with campus from Sao Paulo, Brazil Northeast and Amazonia regions) and the U.S. (Washington University in St. Louis) in a conversation exploring the nexus of climate change and labor conditions. Climate change has too often been explored from an environmental angle while labor conditions are often seen as a labor rights issue separate or not related with climate change. The dialogue challenges the siloed view of these two issues, encouraging a more integrated perspective on their interdependence.
