Portugal Residence Permit Guideline

Complete process.
1. Buy a sim card and must have an email address for all correspondences.
2. Applications are submitted under Article 88 and 89 and 90
3. Article 88 – one has a legal entry in Portugal, one has employment contract or one is intended to have an employment.
4. Article 89 – Sefl Employed – intend to work for himself, entrepreneur, freelance.

6. (Article 90 - Highly qualified activity residence permit), one has good job offer already for Euro 1800 Euro per month like.
7. Job Seeker Visa – 120 days visa, 60 days further extendable.
8. D7 visa for pensioners and passive income.
9. Other Investment Residency by Golden visa scheme i.e Euro 500,000, 3 months processing time.
10. Must bring driving license updated plus international driving license. After approval of residence card one can convert Pakistan Driving license into Portages’ Driving License.
11. Better to Bring Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) and from Turkey if one has spent more than 1 year.
12. By air, no need to have legal entry paper but it is good to have legal entry in hotel, rental flat where this facility is available, big hotels normally do not give entry facility. One needs to find hostal or small Turkish hotels who provide facility of entry. Booking may be through Booking.com, Air Bnb.
13. Better to Bring Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) and from Turkey if one has spent more than 1 year.
14. Photographs same as visa photo size
15. Apply for NIF (Tax Number)
16. Apply for (Segurança Social)
17. Apply for Junta (Proof of Address),
18. Other Documents required but not necessary in this stage i.e 1. Promiss of job contract 2. Job Contract 3. Activity paper for article 89 to be obtained from Finance Office NIF. Activity paper is mandatory for self-employed person and Article 89 is used.
19. Submit documents on online portal SAPA as discussed above – File Stands locked, you will receive a confirmation that your impression of Interest stands accepted.
20. Find job.
21. Fingers time again email will be received, you need to ready all the documents, Your NIF would be the same, Proof of address will be required again, character certificate required again, salary slip and declaration from employer required. For legal person 6 months tax required and for illegal person 12 months tax required.
• First e-mail is received means Impression Of Interest is accepted. Process stands accepted.
• When 2nd e-mail is received for FINGERS and Pictures, one has to respond in portal within 10 days your availability in the schedule mentioned slot. Pick best date of your choice. In portal your time option shall be enabled to select.
• Go to AIMA, your documents to be submitted which should not be older than 1 month. Salary slips last 3, proof of address, Job Contract, company declaration where you work, finance means tax document, legal entry, passport, IRS (not mandatory but if it is available then should submit), PCC from home country, ACT paper, Sugrata, Fees submission around 335 Euro. After fingers card in 3-6 months like. SEF helplines confirms status as well.
• Card is received in 24-26 months from the date of file submission.
• Citizenship is received after 5 years of 1st card received total 8 years minimum.
