#Gokarna is quite honestly, one of the most BEAUTIFUL places I have ever been to. You will enjoy this especially if you love the sea. Such stunning views! and so much calmer and cleaner than Goa. What a time to be alive and witness the grandeur of nature.

In his travel video, I'm taking you around some places in Karnataka like Gokarna, Mirijan Fort, Sharavathi Kondla, Murudeshwar, and Kumta. The journey started from Goa and I was mesmerized to find a little paradise in the state of Karnataka. Every place and every view was worth the visit.

1. #Mirjanfort of Uttara Kannada district in #Karnataka is one of the rarest forts situated in the #coastal part of Karnataka. In this short video, we quickly introduce to this beautiful small #Mirjan fort.
Mirjan fort is 157 Kms from Udupi, 12 Kms From #Kumta and 21 Kms from Gokarna.
Timings: 8 AM to 6 PM
Another version of history suggests that the Mirjan Fort was built initially by Tuluva-Saluva clan Queen Chennabhairadevi (queen of Gersoppa ) between 1552 to 1606 CE.
Queen Chennabhairadevi ruled for 54 years under the protection of the Vijayanagara Empire
During her rule, pepper, betel nut, and nutmeg were shipped to Europe and the Middle East from the ports of Malpe, Bidnoor, Mirjan, Honnavar, #Ankola and #Karwar.
She was given the name, "The Pepper Queen or Raina da Pimenta' by Portuguese.
She is believed to have lived in the fort for a considerable amount of time.
Fort has 11 circular sloping bastions all-around. Above the walls are series of merlons and gun holes (100 holes) are provided in between.

2. #SharavathiKandlaPoolway at #Honnavar is hardly a 5 minutes drive from the highway and is maintained beautifully by the Karnataka Forest Department.
A perfect spot to hang out with your friends, family, or even solo, the spot is lesser-known to people beyond Honnavar and is an apt location for pre-wedding and post-wedding photoshoots.
