Our P&O Cruises Arvia Medical Disembarkation Experience
Our 14 night mediterranean cruise on P&O Cruises brand new ship Arvia ended early due to our boy, Henry, being taken very poorly. The ship was rerouted to make an emergency stop in Malaga, Spain to ensure we could be medically disembarked in the best place possible to ensure Henry received the level of care he needed.
I documented some of the experience for our families, for Henry and for insurance purposes. Now we are home, I have decided to share my experience in order to show you what it’s like to be medically disembarked and to show the type of care we received. If you are considering a cruise, I think it’s important you see this for yourself.
The medical centre onboard Arvia has intensive care units, they have pillows and duvets on the hospital beds, TV’s in each room, room service etc. They run their own bloodwork and are almost totally self-sufficient. Combine that with strong, decisive and utterly caring leadership from the doctors and ships Captain saved our boy's life. I will forever be more grateful than I can ever explain to P&O Cruises, I don't believe we could have been in a better place for when disaster struck to get the care Henry needed that quickly. Thank you P&O Cruises for making me an Arvia Insider in 2022.
Our 1st ever cruise, our 1st ever P&O Cruise, the adventure that saved Henry's life.
This cruise was kindly gifted to us by P&O Cruises as I have been an Arvia Insider since August 2022, helping P&O Cruises bring their brand new ship Arvia to life. AD | GIFTED
