Miramonte was founded in 2001 by then 32-year old entrepreneur, Cane Vanderhoof. Since then, the winery has emerged as one of the most respected and heavily awarded wineries of the southern California . The winery has also gracefully emerged as one of Southern California’s most beautiful, dynamic and forward thinking wineries. Located in the heart of the Temecula Valley, the winery and estate vineyard sit at an elevation of 1400 feet, the remaining vineyards are located between 1400 and 1600 feet. They also buy premium fruit from 44 acres of local vineyards --- with a special focus on what are generally considered the traditional grapes varieties of Spain, Portugal and southern France.
