Maui, HAWAII: beach and mountain on the same day! ????

In Maui, Hawaii, you can spend the morning sweating at the beach, and the afternoon freezing at the mountain. In this video, you'll see the most famous beaches in South Maui: Kihei, Wailea, and Makena (Big Beach). We then head to Haleakala National Park to see the sunset at one of the highest points in the world. Haleakala is a dormant volcano, actually more famous for the sunrise (you need to book a parking ticket in advance at recreation.gov). The drive all the way up departing from Kihei took a little bit more than 2 hours. The road is curvy and steep at times, but very well maintained.

Maui is the second-largest of the Hawaiian Islands (only behind Hawaii island) and is the 17th largest island in the United States. It's quieter and more relaxed compared to Oahu, also with fewer tourists.
