The Balearic island are the island close to the Spanish coast in the Mediterranean Sea. The Balearic island are Ibiza, Fortmentera, Menorca and the largest of all is the island of Mallorca. Mallorca (or Majorca) is an extremely popular holiday destination for Northern Europeans. The island is especially popular among German tourists during the summer months. The international airport of Palma de Mallorca is the busiest airport of Spain with yearly more than 30 million passengers. The island is quite mountainous and the highest peak is 1,436 m (4711 ft). The island has a population of almost 1 mln.
