Life in pr*son for Swedish teenager k*ller || The Case Of Lisa Holm || True Crime Documentary

Rowan Ford was born in 1998 in California but later moved to Stella, Missouri, after her parents divorced. She lived with her mother, Colleen, and her stepfather, David, along with her siblings. Rowan was a kind, active 9-year-old who enjoyed outdoor activities, Sunday school, and helping others.

On November 2, 2007, while her mother was at work, Rowan went missing. Her stepfather said she’d asked to stay at a friend’s house, but none of her friends had seen her. Suspicion grew around David’s account, especially after inconsistent details emerged in his statements to police. The town joined the search, and the FBI soon became involved, suspecting foul play.

Local authorities questioned David’s friend, Christopher, who had been with David the night Rowan vanished. Initially, Christopher backed David's story but later confessed that he had assaulted and killed Rowan, hiding her body in a remote area. Shockingly, David then admitted he had been present and had participated in the crime. However, Christopher maintained David’s non-involvement, adding complexity to the case.

Both men blamed each other, and although police lacked solid evidence against David, both were arrested. Christopher was sentenced to death in 2012, while David received a lesser sentence for child endangerment and obstruction, owing to insufficient evidence for a murder conviction.
