Going to the PHILIPPINES!!!! Cebu Island, Philippines(Ep. 21)

We left for the airport in KSA at 4:30 am. It is about an hour's drive to the airport by private driver. The check-in is a simple process and we made our way to the gate. The first flight is a quick and easy hop over to Doha where we had a several-hour layover. Then the long nine-hour flight to Manila. Our plane out of Manila on, Cebu Air was delayed significantly so we had to take a much later flight. We ended up getting into Cebu around 11:30 pm. Originally we were going to take the driver to Badian Wellness Resort and get in around 2 am, but we decided to get a hotel and leave the next morning.


The next morning we left for the three-hour drive to Badian. The distance isn’t that far, but the road is a narrow two-lane road with lots of traffic. We turned off of the main road onto a dirt road and drove for about 15 minutes. We were worried as the road was in disrepair and looked semi-deserted.


Once we got to the dock, we had to check in with the guard station and he called us the hotel water taxi. Then a quick 10-minute boat ride to the island where we were met with very friendly faces, and leis.


Our room was much larger than we expected because the resort upgraded our room because the family rooms were under construction. However, upon finding out that the pool closed at 5 pm we upgraded again to a room with an infinity pool.


We had dinner at the restaurant where we found they did not have most of the items on the menu so we ordered pizza and some drinks to go.


We were very excited to get the vacation started so we all got into bed early, after dealing with the massive lizard because tomorrow we have to get up at 4 am to catch the driver at 5 am!!
