Nazare is famous for world's biggest waves, the swell originates on the East Coast in the USA and comes down to Portugal across the Atlantic Ocean to hit the wall in Nazare, some waves are higher than a 100 feet....


That wetsuit… it’s not padded. Those are air cartridges. If the surfers get pounded by huge breaking waves and end up being tumbled deep under water, they can pull them and they will inflate and bring them to the surface. They typically have 3 or 4. Beyond that they would need to hold their breath for quite some time.
