Camino de Santiago - Camino Portugues

After completing part 1 of our Camino Portugues we are onto our second part, Porto to Santiago de Compostela. Our original plan to to walk the entire Camino Portugues from Lisbon to Santiago, however, after Aurora had a seizure and was rushed to the energency we changed our plans.

Day 2 started with breakfast at our hotel in Povoa Varzim before heading out. It was our first day walking along the coast and we loved every minute of it. Walking on wood plank sidewalks, beside sanddunes, and amazing views of the ocean made for an awesome day on the camino. Today was a shorter day, but it took us a long time to get to Esposende, in part because we could not find a cafe that served anything other than pastries. We were running out of engery and were walking slower with every step. When we finally reached our accommodations it took our last ounce of energy to climb the stairs to our room.
