2 Weeks in Madeira: The Ultimate Itinerary inc. costs

Welcome to our video on a 2 week itinerary for Madeira! In this video, we'll take you on a tour of some of the best things to see and do on this beautiful Portuguese island.

We'll start off in the capital city of Funchal, where we'll visit the Monte Palace gardens and the famous Funchal Toboggan, a thrilling ride through the streets of the city. Next, we'll explore the stunning Nuns Valley and the 25 Fontes waterfall.

Then, we'll embark on a challenging hike from Pico do Arieiro to Pico Ruivo, taking in breath taking views of the island along the way. There's more leisurely walks like the Levada Moinho and Levada Nova trails which showcase spectacular waterfalls, Caldeirao Verde with another substantial waterfall and Sao Lourenco, a fantastic coastal trail with plenty of wild swimming options. Lesser known levada trails will be covered such as Levada Faja do Rodrigues, Balcoes, Levada do Rei, Levada Castelejo and Levada dos Cedros.

Hiking aside, we head to the north of the island to visit the picturesque town of Porto Moniz, known for its natural swimming pools. We'll also make time to visit the Fanal Forest, a beautiful and serene spot that's perfect for a peaceful photography session. And we scope out some of the best sunrise spots: the stunning Pico do Arieiro and Bica da Cana. Not to forget Cascata dos Anjos or Cabo Girao either.
