Albufeira é uma cidade portuguesa pertencente ao distrito de Faro, região e sub-região do Algarve, com cerca de 31 000 habitantes.
É sede do município de Albufeira com 140,66 km² de área e 44 164 habitantes (censo de 2021), subdividido em 4 freguesias. O município é limitado a oeste e noroeste pelo município de Silves, a nordeste e leste por Loulé e a sul tem uma ampla costa no Oceano Atlântico.
Por conta de uma vida noturna (bares, discotecas, restaurantes de renome) vibrante, festas frequentes e algumas das mais belas praias de Portugal, Albufeira converteu-se num dos maiores polos turísticos do país, destacando-se por consequência como a cidade portuguesa com maior número de estrangeiros residentes, com 22,5% da população permanente tendo nascido no exterior, nomeadamente em outros países europeus.
Uma pesquisa do site Cheerfulway elegeu Albufeira como o melhor lugar para se viver em Portugal.

Albufeira is a city and seat of its own municipality in the district of Faro, in the southernmost Portuguese region of Algarve. The municipality population in 2021 was 44,164, in an area of 140.66 square kilometres (54.31 square miles). The city proper had a population of 28,645 in 2021. It is 250 kilometres (160 mi) from Lisbon, and is within close proximity of Paderne Castle. Lagoa is located 30 kilometres (19 mi) to the west, and Faro 45 kilometres (28 mi) to the south-east. A tourist destination (due to its coastal conditions), Albufeira expands to approximately 300,000 residents during the summer and during the Christmas and New Year celebrations, owing to the number of hotels and lodgings in its municipality, that includes marina facilities, golf courses, restaurants and bars for the annual flood of visitors.
