Marko Grujic is set to spark a bidding war with Liverpool ready to cash in on the midfielder this summer.
Grujic has seen his profile rocket over the past 12 months having impressed during a loan spell in helping Porto reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The 25-year-old's role in Porto’s round of 16 win over Juventus prompted a number of clubs from Serie A and the Bundesliga - where he shone for two years on a temporary stay at Hertha Berlin - to register an interest.
And the Liverpool ECHO understands those clubs have remained in contact with Liverpool over a possible permanent deal for Grujic.
Reports in Portugal suggested an ‘alarm has sounded’ at Porto over the great interest in the Serbia international.
Porto were initially considering another loan offer but with Liverpool preferring a permanent departure, they are now looking to sell Sergio Oliveria to Fiorentina for €20m to raise funds for Grujic's signature.
Liverpool will look for around £20m for the player, who was Jurgen Klopp’s first signing for £5.1m from Red Star Belgrade in January 2016.
