My Trip to Lombok and Bali

10 years ago we did our honeymoon to Lombok and Bali. Of course growing up in Indonesia, this was not my first trip to Bali but it was my first to Lombok. I get to learn ikat weaving from the ladies in Lombok and the next year I started @kasihcoop to share Indonesia’s handmade products to the world. As requested, here is my travel guide to Lombok and Bali:
- Lombok:
✨ Gili Trawangan Island
take speedboat to Gili Trawangan, enjoy free leisure for snorkeling, glass-bottom boat, scuba diving, water skiing, kayaking
✨ Narmada Temple
is about 25 Km from Senggigi area, was created circa 1805 as replica of Rinjani Mountain and Segara Anak lake
-Bali:
✨Ubud: arts and craft center of Bali
✨ Tirta Empul Temple
Tirta Empul means the water emerge from land or the holy pool (Petirthan). The wellspring emerges from the land is believed that it is the infinite creation
✨ Tanah Lot
Tanah Lot means "Land in the Sea" in Balinese language.
✨Ubud Monkey Forest
✨ Luhur Uluwatu Temple & Kecak Dance
spiritually important to the Balinese people, as it is one of Bali’s sacred directional temples (kayangan jagat) protecting the island from evil spirits in the southwest
✨ Kuta Beach
kuta is quite busy and packed with varied cheap bars and clubs make it a party centre, while local and international restaurants offer great dining
