SM le Roi félicite M. Antonio Guterres à l'occasion de sa reconduction au poste de Secrétaire général de l’ONU

Rabat - Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI a adressé un message de vœux et de félicitations à M. Antonio Guterres à l'occasion de sa reconduction au poste de secrétaire général de l’Organisation des Nations Unies (ONU).
Dans ce message, SM le Roi exprime à M. Antonio Guterres Ses félicitations et Ses vœux les meilleurs de succès dans l’exercice de ses hautes fonctions.
"Ce second mandat constitue, de la part des Etats membres, une reconnaissance unanime pour votre leadership et votre dévouement aux causes de l’Humanité que vous avez portés avec une abnégation et un engagement exemplaires", souligne le Souverain.
SM le Roi relève que "le Royaume du Maroc y voit également le fruit des réformes audacieuses que vous menez inlassablement depuis quatre ans dans les principaux champs d’action de l’ONU : l’Initiative Action pour le Maintien de la Paix, la réorganisation du Secrétariat, la réforme de l’architecture de paix et de sécurité des Nations Unies, la lutte contre les discours de haine et la mise en place de procédures budgétaires visant à assurer la durabilité financière de l’Organisation".
Le Souverain a saisi cette occasion pour rendre un hommage appuyé aux efforts importants que M. Antonio Guterres a fournis depuis le déclenchement de la pandémie de la Covid-19 qui a constitué un véritable test pour la résilience de l’ONU et du système multilatéral.
"Pour votre second mandat, Je tiens à vous assurer du soutien plein et agissant du Royaume qui continuera à jouer le rôle actif qui est le sien aux niveaux régional et international en faveur de la paix, du développement et du dialogue entre les cultures et les civilisations", note Sa Majesté le Roi dans ce message.
Le Souverain affirme que le Royaume ne ménagera aucun effort pour soutenir le Secrétaire général de l’ONU dans la mise en œuvre des réformes et des chantiers prioritaires et contribuer à l’avènement d’un multilatéralisme plus volontariste et efficace, au service des valeurs de liberté, de justice, de solidarité, de tolérance et de coexistence entre les peuples

Rabat - HM King Mohammed VI sent a message of congratulations to Antonio Guterres on the occasion of his reappointment as Secretary General of the United Nations.
In this message, HM the King expressed to Antonio Guterres his congratulations and best wishes for success in his mission.
"This second mandate constitutes, on the part of the Member States, a unanimous recognition for your leadership and your dedication to the causes of Humanity which you have defended with exemplary self-sacrifice and commitment", underlined the Sovereign.
HM the King noted that "the Kingdom of Morocco also sees in it the fruit of the audacious reforms that you have tirelessly carried out for four years in the main fields of action of the UN: the Action Initiative for the Maintenance of Peace, the reorganization of the Secretariat, the reform of the peace and security architecture of the United Nations, the fight against hate speech and the establishment of budgetary procedures aimed at ensuring the financial sustainability of the Organization".
The Sovereign took this opportunity to pay tribute to the important efforts that Antonio Guterres has made since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has been a real test for the resilience of the United Nations and the multilateral system.
"For your second term in office, I would like to assure you of the full and active support of the Kingdom, which will continue to play its active role at the regional and international levels in favor of peace, development and dialogue between cultures and civilizations", noted HM the King in this message.
The Sovereign affirmed that the Kingdom will spare no effort to support the Secretary-General of the United Nations in the implementation of reforms and priority projects and to contribute to the advent of a more proactive and effective multilateralism, in the service of the values ​​of freedom, justice, solidarity, tolerance and coexistence between peoples
