I often get asked how I would approach my portfolio if I were at the wealth protection stage rather than my current wealth generation situation with its higher risk profile.

I would shift my focus from hunting potential baggers (which are often companies currently making losses) to cash cows—companies with low valuations and high cashflows.

I've gone over a few of these themes below.

Coal: It should not be a surprise that this theme is at the top of this list with rock bottom valuations, high cash flows and solid moat via institutional investors' unwillingness to touch it.
