Integrated in the Natural Park of Sintra-Cascais, Praia do Guincho has a landscape of great beauty, in which the white sand dunes contrast with the foothills of the Serra de Sintra, which can be seen in the background.
Because it is exposed to strong winds and has strong waves, this beach is very popular with bodyboarders and surfers. During the summer, due to the north wind that is felt here, Guincho is excellent for the practice of windsurfing, with national and international competitions of this modality taking place here.

Integrada no Parque Natural de Sintra-Cascais, a Praia do Guincho possui um enquadramento paisagístico de grande beleza, em que as dunas de areia branca contrastam com os contrafortes da Serra de Sintra, que se avista ao fundo.
Por estar exposta aos ventos fortes e possuir forte ondulação, esta praia é muito procurada pelos praticantes de bodyboard e surf. Durante o verão, devido à nortada que aqui se faz sentir, o Guincho é excelente para a prática de windsurf, tendo aqui lugar provas nacionais e internacionais desta modalidade.
Nas imediações, existem excelentes restaurantes especializados em peixe e marisco.
