ALGARVE BEACH HIKE | Praia da Rocha to Praia do Vau | Is Portugal a good winter destination?

After arriving in Portimao I take a beach hike from Praia da Rocha to Praia do Vau to check out our local beaches. I find some beautiful Algarve beaches right on our doorstep!

It is only a short hike along the coast. TIP - When the tide is out it is possible to do this hike entirely along the beach. When it is in, as it was when i did it, you have to climb the steps onto the headland to get from one beach to another.

It doesn't matter too much because the views from the coastal walking path are stunning!!!

Praia da Rocha, Praia dos Três Castelos, Praia do Amado, Praia dos Careanos, Praia do Vau. All of them fine examples of pretty Algarve beaches.

Is Portugal worth visiting in the winter? This video speaks for itself. Beautiful beaches, fine weather (Occasionally) and so many interesting places to visit.
